Ok, I've started a group on Facebook, called South Africans in South Korea (how original you may say, but I was pressured for time). I thought would be a great rallying point. So if you want to network a little with people from home, register on facebook.com and search the group. Drop me a PM if you have any questions.

Hmmm...funny "haha" or funny "queer"? In all seriousness, I will not resent that comment, it's almost nice to be unique in a sea of similarity Wink

You think their's is funny wait till you hear Australians talk. Some say it is the lowest form of spoken English which is not very flattering.

Which one? Aussie or S.African? It took me and the gf a few viewings to even figure out what the hell the girl in that Australian tourist commercial is saying ("Where the bloody hell are you?"). I can't speak for the men, but I find the accent on the women unappealing, at best.

Accents are great IMHO.

On the topic of sexy accents....I still find the Posh version of the English accent to be the sexiest one;)

What if Kylie Minogue wearing her gold hotpants spoke to you? Would you still find it unappealing?

I also think our accents are great but maybe I'm just biased Wink but to try to get back onto the topic...which was not accents...if anyone from SA is reading this and wants to meet some like minded like accented (haha neologism) folk, hop onto facebook. The group is really taking off. I think it's going to be fun.
