This board is not a real reflection of esl teachers in korea though so the average age of board members wouldn't be the average age of teachers here.

I am thinking that you should have chopped the older age bracket up a bit.

43, Korean age Smile

your poll asks for average age - does this mean you want us to take a guess at what the average is?

I suspect you want us to enter OUR ages so this will lead to some sort of average.

You asked average age. You didn't ask 'how old are you?'

I guess you're not much of a statistician.

Did I really need to? Is it that difficult to comprehend? Do I need to clarify it further for the hard of reading?

Perhaps it was naive of me to think that as this is an EFL website the typical users would be able to grasp the given concept without the need to include an interrogative pronoun so as to describe precisely what is being asked of them.

I'm 29 and many Koreans think I'm old. However, when I was 28 they said how young I was. I don't get it. Go figure.

I'm 25.

It's funny. When I first got here I was 21, but had a hard time picking up older girls because of the age difference so I often told people I was 25. Well, now I actually am that age and it feels like I'm getting old. Shocked

No, you were specific. You specifically asked "average age?"

I'm 34
