Unfortunately, Immigration is not organized well enough to realize that they have given you an OK to teach here and that once should be enough. You will forever and ever have to keep supplying the same darn documents to the same darn office as long as you continue to work in SK.

Even if you teach in the same city and went to the same immigration office you'd need to re-apply for your visa. They have all your info in a computer. They can look you up easily. If they made thingsw easy a bunch of them would be out of a job.

Look at the airport immigration office. They can do things in hours that takes other immigration offices weeks to do. The aiport office just can't drag their feet.

EVERY TIME you change employers and need a new visa you have to do the whole process all over again from the start.

I still can't get my head around that.

Will they ever see the light of day and allow us to transfer our visa between schools?

Yes, but if the OP has a visa that says he is working for Gyeonggi Board of Education, then he should be able to change schools without submitting all that stuff again.. (speaking from experience).

(If his current visa says he is employed at XX [Public] School, then yeah, he would have to resubmit paperwork).
