This weekend @ Drug/DGBD, a two-day celebration of live music! Remember, entrance to "Sound Day" gets you one free drink and access to 10 different live clubs featuring all different sorts of live music, from jazz, hip-hop, and rock to punk and metal. All for 15,000 won. It starts at 9 PM and goes late... very late.

At Drug/DGBD:
On the 20th of April (Friday)
    Hooligan (21:00 - 22:00) upfront Hardcore
    The Rock Tigers (22:00 - 23:00) Rockabilly
Copy Machine (23:00 - 00:00) punk versions of all sorts of good stuff
    No.1 Korean (00:00 - 01:00) lively ska-punk
    Groupie (01:00 - ??? ) good ol' punk music

On the 21st of April (Saturday)
Cocore (21:00 - ??) famous psychedelia, could play for 2 hours or more Laughing
The 3rd line Butterfly - art-rock, slightly goth...
    Bulssazo - more psychedelia

Come on out and see some great bands with good crowds, not just at Drug/DGBD, but in any of the 10 clubs that particiapte in Sound Day!

Do you have lists of the events at the rest of the clubs?

Maybe some maps for those of us who don't know the locations would also be good Smile

I only know for sure what is playing at the club I work in, but at every venue there is a full list of bars and acts, with maps and so on. I will dig around and see what I can find, and post as necessary.

Here is Racetraitor's map and it is a good one:

I think the closest exit is Hapjeong exit #4 (합정 #3) which comes out near the fire station. Walk straight ahead until you come to the first set of stoplights, turn right, go up and over the hill , then down until you see the Family Mart. Make the right there and Drug/DGBD is on your right-hand side. Hate to sound cliche, but "you can't miss it."

Only one or two of the other clubs are shown here, but as I said, at every venue there are maps and pamphlets available. It should be a very good time.

The Spot has a good Saturday lineup. I promise I won't be there though.

I remember the first year of Sound Day it was really weak, but this year looks more promising.

Damn! Cocore /3rd Line Butterfly/Bulssajo is a WICKED lineup.

If I get rained outta camping, I'll so be there.

Anyone wondering about cool indie music in Korea should download traxx from these three...

Hey,
Make sure that you say drop bye the sound board and introduce yourself. It will be a blistering good "wall of sound" show that night.
