My friend and I are going to visit Seoul (for only the 3rd time) this weekend. We have a bit of sightseeing planned, but I was wondering if anybody could recommend any good (cheap!!) places to stay on Friday & Saturday night. We just really need a place to lay our heads for a few hours.

Also, I was wondering if anybody could suggest some good bars/clubs, not necessarily with lots of other foreigners. (We've only been to Itaewon and Hongdae, although it was raining very heavily when we were in Hongdae so we didn't really get a chance to have a proper look around).

I would be grateful for any suggestions you can give me.

One of the many yeogwans/love motels will do for a cheap place.

Bars:

Hongdae: Castle Praha, US66, Bricx, Gr8, Club Aura
Sinchon: Woodstock
Gangnam: Platinum, Castle Praha, Rainbow
Itaewon: Gecko's, Wolfhound (oh, wait, few foreigners??)

Drinking on the street can be fun at Dongdaemun stadium.

http://www.seoulbackpackers.com/

I am going to get a hostel to lay my head on since I am not going to Seoul to enjoy a hotel, but to enjoy and explore the city itself. I am going any weekend soon for my first sojourn when nice weather will finally be predicted and actually occur. I have been a waitin for many weeks now. The time is almost ripe I think...

Enjoy your trip to Korea's big apple. Smile
