What kinds of things would HS'ers appreciate receiving? I can't imagine they'd be as easy as ES'ers, and just buy them candy.
(This would be on top of the pizza party for the class I'm having... there's only 5 of them, and it's the last day...) |

Is there a food stall near your school? You could organise vouchers with one of the stalls and use them as rewards, or prizes in games. You could make them different values depending on how big you want the reward to be. Get a Korean teacher to help you communicate with stall owner.
We have done that. Each voucher has the school stamp on the back, is laminated and they can be reused. Our vouchers range from 100-300won.
Id like to hear more ideas myself! (I dont teach HS, but I do have some MS students who could do with a change of rewards). |

I would suggest things like gift cards to a movie theater and local after-school snack hangout-type places. They tend to like things they can do with their friends that foster a bit of independence. |

I was trying to think of something "big" for the best class overall...how expensive would it be to give them a pizza party?
Are hs students all that competitive anyway? Or would they feel like children if you gave out candy as a motivator? |

Brand name pizzas run about 30k for 2. No-name local shops are about 1/2 that. |

My high schoolers love candy, especially chocolate. They're quite happy to receive those tiny square of ABC chocolate. Maybe my kids are the exception and not the rule. |
