The bit about German cars was a failed attempt at irony in your case Flakfizer.

Didn't fail. I found it quite ironic.

The US already buys far more German cars than the Brits.

Who is this directed at? I already talked about all this stuff with the Brit who shared it with me BACK IN 2000/2001 WHEN THE US ACTUALLY HAD FAILED TO ELECT A PRESIDENT FOR WHILE BECAUSE OF THE WHOLE FLORIDA "HANGING CHAD" FIASCO.

And now there is an identical thread over in the O/T forum. Am I in a Twilight Zone episode?

P.S. Here is a more original version. Please notice the date and the timing of the whole thing (some consider timing an important aspect of humour): http://www.commondreams.org/views/112900-103.htm

Further, you will stop playing baseball. It is not reasonable to host an event called the World Series for a game which is not played outside of America .

This one might be funny if it wasn't so ignorant. Too bad we don't have Prince William to fret over every minute of the day or Twit of the Year contests. Rolling Eyes

A Korean American told me that the British won the War of Independence last week. He also told me that he didn't have a clue about the 1812 War. They let in all sorts these days.
