Thank you for your attention.
I'm enrolled in graduate shcool for history. One class I'm taking is in regard to Korean history and politics so I think I'm fine there.
The other class is historical research methods. I would like to know if I could get some advice on the availability of English based books and research options at Seoul University, etc. If I need to study will there be options in English for me to complete these graduate classes to satisfaction?
I can use JSTOR. Online resources fine. What about getting or checking out books, etc? Is there a good range of topics available in English? This is my ignorance of never being overseas and studying speaking. Your help is wonderful and greatly appreciated. Worthy of a beer when I get there in a couple of weeks.
Thank you,
David |

The Korean UNESCO Library was of a modest size about a decade ago and may have been upgraded or relocated. It was in the Kangnam location in the late 1990s.

In my experience, you can walk into the library of any national university with no problems. You can read in the stacks and photocopy as needed. I have been able to get a "community member" library card in the past, with a guarantee from a professor at the university.
Private schools may vary, and some won't even let a "non-member" in the door.
I think we've covered this before... |
