Hello,
sorry, in a rush, and not really too sure where to put this query.
I'm not sure what they're called but I mean those big pencil sharpeners that used to be on every teachers desk when I was at primary school - you stuck the pencil in and it was kind of gripped in a type of vice thingy.

I've never seen them in any schools here, haven't looked for them in shops yet, just wondering where I could get one.

Thanks

You can get them in many different shops.....but they often don't look like pencil sharpeners. Just take a pencil into a school supply store and indicate you want to sharpen it. They'll help you. Look at about 10-15000won for a big one.

Yeah, or you can get a baby one for cheaper(maybe). I've got silver one that looks like a train engine.

The ones in Korea are a bit lightweight compared to the ones of our school days, and they can't be attached to the desk, either.

Look in stationery stores, or you maybe even spot one in Emart or Lotte Mart, etc.

Edit:
I just found a pic of mine here: http://www.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=106292199 (the school bought mine for me at Alpha Stationery)

I thought they didn't have them in the schools cause the kids only use them for kicking practise when there's no teacher around.
