My great grandmother recently died at the age of 99. Got me thinking about what I would hope to accomplish if I got to live that long....

I'd want to have children that grow up to be respectful, productive and happy.

I'd want to be able to handle any hardships that come my way.

I'd like to be able to look back and not regret (pretty much) anything I did.

I'd want to be loved my family, friends and community.

I'd want to go sky diving.

I'd like to learn how to swim.

I'd want to be able to help those around me when they are down.

I'd want to be able to truly live.

It's a short life no matter if you live to 55, 65 or 99.

What would you do?

Right on dude, cheers to your granny. Mine was pretty cool too. Here she is in about 1935...

I wanna have my brain transplanted into a fully equipped android body and live a centuries-long Faust-like existence of youth and beauty, until I reach a state of such unmitigated boredom that I kill myself.

It is better to burn out than to fade away. Therefore 99 would be a disaster.
