I'd be grateful for a word from the wise. Is this a reasonable deal for 720,000:
LCD:21 inch Wide (samsung LCD panel,8ms,1680x1050.TV ,S-Video,Component)
Cpu:AMD X2 3800+Dualcore(energy effcient)(3years warranty)
main board:AMD 6100 HDTV(1years warranty)
Memory:2GB DDR2 PC6400 (life Warranty)
HDD:Western Digital 250GB (SATA2)2years warranty)
ODD:LG DVD-RW(1 years wrranty)
POWER:micronics 430WATT(SATA,6Pin power Brand New 3years warranty)
VGA:geforce 6100
Sound:6.1CH
Lan:100M
Case:Cooler master 410 elite
Keyboard: I-rocks 6170(laptop style flat Keyboard not cheaper)
Mouse:K-TEC optical(not cheper)
Fan controler:Evercool
Cooler:120mm x2 (low noise and LED light) |

what is the ratio? 800:1? 1000:1?
Also, for that price and for it being second hand, the video card is awefully small. I'd say about 600 to 650 |

It's run-of-the-mill and the video card is seriously low & slow.
If you want the monitor you want a video card to match. upgrade to at least a geforce 7600 . |

I have some reservations about that system, especially if it is second hand. I think you would have a good chance of building a better system for an equal or perhaps slightly greater price. |

You aren't being raked, but it's not a "sweet deal" by any means. That is a 600,000 system. The monitor is slow (8ms), the graphics is old, the HDD is small, the CPU is dated, the sound and LAN are all on-board so who cares, keyboard mouse combos are cheap as air (for the more generic)...
I say pass or bargain it down. |
