My mate is on his way to Korea and wants to find a job here doing something. His in only 2 yrs into his business degree, is there any teaching he can do? If not, can he get a job in a bar or something, he doesn't speak Korean tho???
Its prolly a long shot but if anyone knows anything it would be great to have some info.
Thanks in advance

He can not teach without a degree.
And I doubt he can find work in a bar or elsewhere since he can not speak Korean.
If he does find a job it will likely be illegal. And if he is caught he will be fined and deported. If he can not pay the fine he will be held in detention (jail) for some time.
Tell your friend to find a job back home. |

Unless your friend is prepared to invest 50 million won and get an investors visa there is only 1 POSSIBILITY of getting LEGAL work.
Depending on his country of origin AND age he MAY quality for an H1 - working tourist visa. This will allow him to work at any NON-professional occupation (read NON-teaching). This could include editing, acting, bar work, summer camp, etc.
If he is over 30 or not from a country that qualifies for H1 then there is NO possibility of his legally working.
There will be lots of opportunities for him to work illegally (teaching) but he will face the risk of fines, detention and deportation if he is caught.
Fines usually run between 1 and 2 million won AND he will have to bear the cost of his own repatriation (travel home).
If he cannot pay he will remain in detention until arrangements for payment can be made., |

If he can sing and/or dance, he might get an entertainment visa...

If he just wants a cultural experience, try china. It's much easier to get work without a degree there and still get paid resonable money. It's also much more fun than Korea. |
