While surfing the net I came across a site that noticed this:
Which uses an altered version of this photo:
Why would they alter the photo, and what does this indicate to us about the CBC as an impartial news source?

Well, since it's a generic photo used to give a layout some "colour" I don't think it says too much about a site's impartiality.
If they had captioned it, "The Smog Drenched Skies That Cover the Earth while Politicians Argue Underneath" then it could be said they're being misleading.
Newspapers, magazines and website editors all use stock photos to illustrate articles, and unless captioned they're not professing to be a representation of reality. |

that photo has aired in MANY different formats on all kinds of different sites.
Also, don't quote small, dead, animals.... they're nuts. |
