I'm going on my Japan run this Monday and I'm bringing 20,000 yen for myself and my girlfriend. Is this enough? |

It's about 950 yen (9500 won) for a meal at a street stall. It's about 200 yen for a coffee. Don't know beer. So 20 000 yen is probably enough. |

For a start a visa will probally cost you up around 6,000 yen each. Everything in Japan is expensive. Cheap accommodation for a night is around 4,500 yen for one.
What type of visa are you talking about anyway. For instance for a tourist visa you can come straight back and get one on arrival.
What city in Japan etc. Give some details |

I'm getting an E2 visa and I'll only be there for the day. I won't need hotel accommodations unless we're too slow and we miss our plane! |

Yes, do not in any way, shape, or form, try to exchange Korean won anywhere except Korea. |

You will need to have your E2 approval papers in by 10 AM to get things done in the same day. If you ring the embassy before you go and ask them is it possible to process your visa in a day it seems to help. Considering that you are not naming which embassy that you are dealing with little more can be give on costs.
Fukuka you can catch a train from the airport and sit around across the street untill they process your visa so not a lot of expense. |
