Is there a direct correlation between the cleanliness or messiness of your home and your happiness and the status of your personal life?

There is with me, always has been.

Things going well in my personal life = clean home, not so well = pig pen.

But now I have a maid come in two days a week, so I never know if Im depressed or not.

Tee hee Very Happy

Actually I usually find that if my life seems chaotic I will make an extra effort to try and organise things in my living space. Then at least I have one less thing to worry about.
Peaceful environment = peace of mind (at least that's what I wish for)

You'll have to measure depression by how long it takes to clean up after you.

Inversely correlated here. If my life is full and active the house is a mess, if I am bored, and have nothing to do, the house is clean.

Unless it is exam time, then the house is always spotless. I have cleaned the windows more than once in a fit of procrastination.

Doesn't matter: I'm always cluttery. Never dirty: I always wash my laundry in a timely manner, vacuum, all that nonsense. But I just have a lot of stuff everywhere. My desk is ridiculous. Yet in my professional life, I tend to be insanely organized. Mostly just because I know my particular brand of "organization" would really annoy my coworkers.

There's a correlation between the amount of time you spend on Daves and the absence of a personal life.

My room's messy at the moment, and I'm surfing Daves and I'm drinking Soju and I've just eaten too much potatoe chips and there's a weird smell from my sink and toilet so what does that mean for my happiness?

I only accept evidence presented in a pyramidal shape (ala the food pyramid and maslows hierarchy of needs).

I don't understand vacuuming. If you wear shoes then you don't need to vacuum. Dust goes into corners and on bookshelves.
