Is it possible to get an E-2 visa (or any visa), for working only part time? Is there a set number of hours required to work to be eligible for a visa? Does it have to be a full time job for the visa.
Sorry for asking the same question in three ways there.
I work at a University and would love to work only part time next year because I want to study Korean Language full time. I want to make sure that the visa is possible before I ask my department.
Anyone know?
Thanks |

As long as your sponsor is agreeable you can work part time on an E1/E2.
You do however REQUIRE permission from immigration to take up studies.
I have NEVER known immigration to refuse permission to study when the applicant was here on a valid work visa (the opposite however can often be true). |

Yup. As long as the sponsor agrees to the deal, a work visa is possible.
Having a work visa and getting permission to study is no problem.
Having a student visa and getting permission to work is... problematic. |
