Unfortunately you just missed the Slackers by a month.
The closest you'll find is the bluebeat ska band Kingston Rudieska. They play Skatalites-influenced music and they're pretty easy to dance to.
I'm going to DJ a half hour of reggae at Skunk Hell on Saturday night but you'd have to sit through a whole night of punk music. |

Skunk Hell. It's the main punk club of the country, and I've been trying to get them more interested in reggae and ska. You can find it on this map:

There is a punk show that night with Rux, Shorty Cat, Suck Stuff, and Caulk Rasher, four of the main punk bands in the country. Afterwards there's a party inside and I'm supposed to DJ for 30 to 45 minutes starting around 12:30. I should warn you I'm going to be DJing mostly '60s reggae and probably some two-tone ska. Please come if you like punk music, so if that is up your alley and you stop by, make sure you introduce yourself to me.
I also found out Kingston Rudieska is busy this week. They're playing a show tomorrow, although the details are kind of sketchy. I can't tell if it's midnight or noon.
They have another show on Friday night in Spot in Hongdae. I can't vouch for the other bands though.
They also have a show on Saturday with Crying Nut and Jang-Goon.
Here's a video that will impress Korean long-timers. It's Jang-Goon (General?) with Kingston Rudieska performing Arirang.

What kind of music do you like, anyway? Just hoping I'm not barking up the wrong tree. |

In that case I look forward to running into you. I sometimes host reggae dance parties, but at the moment my cohost isn't talking with me so it'll be a few months before I can plan the next one. |

Solo mission!!
I swear there used to be another reggae night somewhere in Hongdae. I can't remember the name of the club but it wasn't on the main strip where you'd find Skunk Hell, etc. |

There used to be a reggae bar in Hongdae, but I get the impression it was as lame as the one in Itaewon and it closed down. |

Oh, and what about Stony Skunk? I'm surprised they're not burning up the charts with another super-authentic smash hit. |

I think that's DJ Seafran. Not sure what his deal is, but I've never met him. He seems to be into the more new stuff, like '80s reggae. |
