Make it a 2 hr date. 3 max. Leave her wanting more.

That is rediculous. A full day together will leave her wanting more. A good date cut short will send her the wrong signals.

It does send her the wrong signals... but it works.

Go ahead then- listen to others. Spend an entire day on her, spend big bucks, listen to her sob stories about how much she misses her pit bull "Stinky", and then find out she's not really interested in you. That's what can happen- women can be a real drain on your resources, if not properly "handled." Wink
Don't make a big investment of time and money before you find out more about her. Wink

Do what you want to do and listen to no one...play it by ear and read her body language as to how long the date should last. If she is interested in you....she'll give you hints. If she brings her girlfriend along....dump her, walk away right then and there....and tell hey why.....

Generally, I take that one in stride. She's going to run you by her friend(s) for their approval sooner or later. May as well get it over with. Two birds with one stone. Wink

Besides, you may hit it off with the other chick.

If she brings a friend, its only fair to bring a guy friend of your own to run interference.

Better for her to have the feeling you are assessing whether she is worth your time than vice versa. If I was single now, I'd reverse the tables and take along a male buddy on a date to help me decide if the girl was up to scratch, or even better an attractive female friend Smile

If she brings a "friend" then it's not a date. Don't spend any of your money on either one. In fact, at some point, try to leave early. It's a waste of time.

I agree with this 90% of the time. A brand new girl may bring a friend to make sure the crazy westerner isn't going to tie her up and give her the AIDS we all have. But after a first date, a date is a date if there's only 2 people, friends shouldn't be there.

And I'm sticking to my guns about not leaving a good first date after 2-3 hours if it's going well.

If you are going to spend much more time than that, there would want to be some pay off at the end, otherwise what is the point. You spend 8 hours with the girl and she is wondering why the hell you haven't made a move, and all of a sudden your in just friends territory.

Spend more than 2-3 hours and make your move, fine. More than that and no move = waste of time and risk losing any chemistry you might have had

I've only had this happen once, and she was 19 (a few years younger than me). It shouldn't happen with a woman over the age of 18-19. If it does, then leave.

I can see that one backfiring. You bring your guy friend along and your date and your guy friend end up hitting it off while you go home to a box of kleenex.

Just be YOURSELF! Jokes are all-good on the first date. If she doesn't appreciate them perhaps she's not worth it anyway!!

Listen to ME- the first date is a "mine field" of love Wink
