I ditto that.
I strongly suggest soju & some meat on the grill. Dictionary would help.
But with strong language barrier you won't have a chance for a long term relationship where either you or person you would be dating would have enough time (months) to invest learning each other language. Once the novely wears off, relationship will most probably break.
Thus, just go for the ride Soju |

1. Find a girl who can speak English.
2. And / or Learn korean.
3. Or even...gasp..date a western girl.
I've been down the road of no communication with a korean girl and it just get so boring so fast. Eye candy is only half the requirement for fun. |

All valid but:
1. Find a girl who can speak English.
Usually not much of eye candy there....by empirical research girls who devoted time to study had such a time since boys did not ask her out since she is below average or average.
2. And / or Learn korean.
That means investing 2-3 years of your life (most people doing ESL being young guys this is not gonna happen) and live celibacy.
3. Or even...gasp..date a western girl.
Not many of them in ROK....out of some are not single & some have unfinished business back home. |

Thanks ... I was totally unaware. Really I had no clue. Thank you for saving me from myself.
I purposely kept the topic short because I really just was looking for some ideas from people with experience. You can start a new thread about what a bad idea it is to go on a date with someone with a big language barrier.
If there is one detail that I might add to clarify, this would be a first date.
Thanks to those who answered the question, I really do appreciate the input and would be happy to hear others.
ps
What is a photo sticker bang? Like a photo-booth? |

Yes....but its usually a bigger place (not that big ) which has several booths...you two take picture of yourself and get a collection of stickers. But the photo booth adds some supposedly cute things on the pics, like ballons, hearth and other "cute" shyte.
I suggest going there after drinks. If it is a first date, high language barrier going for a coffee and something like that, would not do much. After a few drinks she would open up and speak better English without being concerned of making mistakes or being shy. And you also.
So a non-drinks date would be a high risk for a first & only date. |

She should know. And it's a great way to make you feel like you're hanging out with a middle school student. |

Take her too a hookah bar. Most Koreans have never been and it looks exotic to them. Plus, it's an oral activity and may subconsiously lead her to want to keep sucking on something else later (your lips, of course, pervert! ).
This one is lame, but movies are always good. English ones have subtitles, Korean ones can let you make up your own dialogue if you don't know the language, and Korean movies in DVD bangs sometimes have English subtitles.
Hiking is another good choice, just head up to Bukhansan. It will show her you are a rugged outdoorsman, esp. if you don't gear up like all the Koreans. "Don't you need boots?" "No, way, baby, sneakers are fine." |

Don't do dictionary dates. Either learn Korean or find a date with functional English ability. |

How do you know the OP wasn't female looking for a Korean guy? Although, double standard being what it is, the tone of the thread would be going in a less pleasant direction if that were the case. |
