Jump out of the airplane, you never said it had to be flying.
Come on Nat, if this is serious research, you must be specific. |

| I wouldn't want to survive falling out of a plane. I'd want to survive a shark attack, because it would probably give me some gnarly scars that chicks would dig. |
men are funny |
Hey, I'm not the one who would dig scars. |

Men are funny AND pedantic! ok for Saxiif and Jeffkim, the poll should be assumed to be:
Would you rather
1) jump out of an AIRBORNE plane or
2) wrestle a dangerous, wild shark larger than your own body size (not 300 grams lol) |

| Now what kind of psychological insight is this supposed to reveal? Choosing between certain death and remote survival. |

nobbyken:
There was a documented case of a woman who survived a plane that disintegrated mid air in the late 60's early 70's. Her aircraft seat (which she was still strapped into) hit the snowy Andes at a 60-75 degree inclined angle, (astronomicall odds) & she survived, with a deeply gashed leg, despite having no parachute. She then trekked downhill & through the jungle. Her leg became infected with screw worm fly maggots. But she eventually made it out of the jungle alive. She was the only survivor on that flight.
OP: I ticked option 2, despite a preference for a parachute. |
