One of mine came last night at the conclusion of our annual festival. Some of the parents had dropped of several cases of Hite for the teachers and a few of us were sitting around the remains of what had been a gigantic bonfire. The Korean teachers started taking turns singing traditional songs and then wanted me to do an English song. I had had a few and started singing Every Sperm is Sacred. Soon they were all clapping along, even one who I know is Roman Catholic. Later they wanted me to do a 'Canadian' song so I sang I'm a Lumberjack, never mind the fact that Michael Palin had never been to Canada when he wrote it. A couple of Korean teachers got up and started dancing together around the fire like a couple of kiindergarten kids, as a few students looked on from the windows of the dormitory.

I don't know what's scarier - the fact that my school's such a ridiculous place or the fact that it is and I fit in so well.

lol Smile

I walked past a classroom where some of my younger students were waiting for the lesson with their Korean teacher. I took two steps back, and gave a loud BOO!

Two little boys both fell backwards, flat on their backs on the ground. It was done with perfect synchrony. Beautiful Smile The rest of the class burst out laughing, and these two did as well, as soon as they realised they were not hurt Smile
