Ditto. The guy is a star, but influential? Exactly the opposite. He's the perfect example of a Korean product based on completely Western pop influences.

Actully I gave him 1% about 20 times. I hope they count it 20 times. Ill do it again tomorrow and every day. Rain sucks. He's a star but his music is crap, he himself is nothing but a Michael jackson wannabe. Even his dancing is pretty much stolen from Wacko Jacko. Influential? What a joke. What influence? What musical trends has he set? Does he do anything aside from sing crappy pop tunes and dance like a child molestor?

Whats stupid is that the wrong Korean was chosen. if they wanted to have a real choice from Korea why not Ban Ki-moon? Atleast here is a guy who does have REAL influence being the had of the UN. Ban Ki-moon? I could buy that. Rain? What a joke.

I will be doing the same today and tomorrow since I have a lot of time to kill.

I hate Korean R & B. I hate Korean hip hop and I ABSOLUTELY hate Korean Rap! If you don't like Black people or Americans in general...don't rip off their music.....jerks....

Why don't we all agree to pick some no name and see if we can push them up high enough to block Rain? It might be fun to see if we have an impact. I say this because Rain has like nearly 250,000 votes already compared to some of them, so our impact may be negligible.

just take Rain down..thats the best way to do it. If we try that we may take him down SEVERAL notches...doing it your way would accomplish much less.

This reminds me of when Hungary put a new bridge up for naming through online poll. Major bridge over Danube. Steven Colbert lobbied and won after it was found out Chuck Norris was previously leading. Type Colbert Bridge Hungary in YouTube for several hilarious segments.

Hungary didn't name it after him, but there were some funny solutions if you check out all the clips.

There's too few of us who are that obsessed. Just 1 vote Rain, 100 vote Colbert. That's the best chance we've got. Have to count on our Thai brothers to take care of the rest.

Did my part - gave him a 2 rating, because he had two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden('s smaller performance hall stage filled up by free ticket give-aways at all Korean small businesses on the East Coast)

At what point will Time realize this online poll has been completely hijacked by Korean netizens and do a major profile on the new face of voting fraud.

I have no idea who Rain is and I doubt most western people know either. One of my students told me that Rain was in America. I was a little confused and said, "you mean, it rains in America."

I'm still not sure if Rain is a person or a boyband.

These days Rain is more easily recognized for countless commercials. Can't remember them all but I know X-note computer is one. I always found that one odd. Why would a potential laptop buyer be impressed with some punk dancing in an urban wasteland while holding a computer over his head?

McGill university had students vote for the new name for their student center and students overwhelmingly voted for William Shatner (a McGill grad). It was named so.

This poll is similar to:

- People Magazine's sexiest online poll back in 1997/1998. Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf won

- Random House's greatest books of the 20th century. Again the Shatner army came out in force and got his Tek War novels in the ranking. The scientiologists got Battlefield Mirth up there and the Randians got Atlas Shrugged up there too. Oish.

So the Koreans want to see a guy who wears girl clothes and does karate kicks on stage #1? COOL!

Didn't they also have a vote (don't know how official it was) to name the new Canadian Territory. While "Nunavut" finally got the nod, I hear "Bob" was in the running for quite a while.
