Asian Students Have Different Life Objectives
Quote:
The objective of Korean youth is "having fun in life" while their American, Japanese and Chinese counterparts want to "create a good family," find "life-long friends" and "get rich" respectively.

The finding was made public after the Japan Youth Research Center conducted a survey last October to December of 5,676 middle and high school students in Korea, the United States, Japan and China dealing with teenagers' ambitions and desires.

The Korean adolescents said that they want to enjoy their lives but American students replied they would like to raise a good family. Meanwhile, the Japanese said that they would like to have many friends, and the Chinese expressed their hope to become rich.

Do Koreans want to "have fun in life" during or after their 16 hours per day of studying?

Kr*p.

Koreans objectives are to make money and more money, work for a big company.

The survey makes them sound un-materialistic and happy-go-lucky. Hahaha rubbish. They plan and coldly calculate their life , including the age they will marry and what college they must get into. Its all work work and palli palli.

At first glance absurd, then makes sense when you realise each wants the opposite of their reality.

-Korean are not happy & fun
-American families are by and large not close
-Japanese don't have many real friends
-Chinese are poor for the most part (now)

Ahaha, so in each case it's the exact opposite of what's going to happen?

The Korean will end up slaving away at some Chaebol, the American will raise a school shooter, the Japanese will become an Otaku, and the Chinese will be a mid-level party member. High hopes though, kids, high hopes.
