A friend just sent me this link for a new place near Yeungnam (he said it was a tent) that serves Mexican food and has live music if anyone is interested.

Post a review if you go.

Bump. I saw that, too. We're doing a Galbijim review this weekend and will bump with the link when done.

There's also a taco stand thats opened up near Sinmae Stn, which we have to get pics of, as well.

Looks like Daegu is going Mexican this summer. Not sure how hi-traffic these locations are, so best for everyone to get out there and support them. Smile

A taco stand..sign me up..has anyone tried it yet, is it passable? All we need now is a little tent with some mariachi's, and it will be a grand old time.

Cheers chronic, if you post a review. I'd only make the trip out there if it's better than i can do at home.

Try this one:

The little box off on the right is the place. I just added some landmarks going west towards Sawol Stn, for reference. I can't find any buses on Naver that go near those apts, so from the looks of things, the best directions for Daegu-ites involve taking the subway to Sawol Stn and taking a taxi to Gyeongbuk Techno Park. Then go from memory from this map.

My reviews generally suck. I usually only bother with taking pictures, writing about menu, location, tidbits about history or ownership, etc...plus there's mention of margaritas and a patio, so all bets are off for recalling anything that could remotely generate any coherently sexy review type stuff.

Hey, that's a fair review.

I was lucky enough to be there a week or so ago.

Have to agree: the food was fairly priced and quite seriously yummy, so well worth the wee wait; it was a really comfortable atmosphere and cool place to hang out anyway, especially with the great music and access to the stereo...

The one thing missed in that review was mention of the washroom/WC/ loo space. That in itself is worth the visit, cos of the most excellent music system that extends to there as well!

Should be a great place to be for Cinco de Mayo today.
... (The restaurant/bar, that is. ... The lav's probably okay for a minute or two...)

I think you had just enough of them margaritas.
Great write-up!
