thanks for the help eamo. Our company gives every employee a choice out of 4 available gifts every year on our company's b-day. Last year i picked up a xcanvas 32" lcd tv, this year our choices were a set of pots, an air conditioner, a digital camera, and the pmp. I dont have a car so, i dont see the navigation feature being of any use, figure i will just watch movies on it.

Final update:

OK...so I called the dude that sold and promised me twice that it could be changed to English...swore up and down that it could....literally guaranteed me that it could.

Well, it can't. Sorry...it cannot be done. Englishee not possible.

So, I'll stick with my Zaurus...just gotta get it from the wife's hands.

Take care all,

Poet

I'm sorry to hear that. Why not change it for another i-Station? One with an English menu. The Netforce would be nice but if you can live without mobile internet then the other i-Stations offer just the same as the Netforce.

I'm looking at an I-station Navi 60GB. The price is below 400,000 online.

Do these models come with the dictionary?

I'm basically looking for DMB, music, video, dic, and the navi in one system.

Cowons and Archos to my knowledge don't offer any models with dics.

i-Stations used to come with a free Kor-Eng-Kor dictionary, but nowadays it's an optional extra on models which aren't Edu-orientated. For a Navi model you will have go to an A/S center, pay them something, I dunno, maybe 40,000, and they will install the Dic for you.

Are there any similar PMP with wireless?

The wireless thing is catching on, I think with the netforce you have something that's similar to the iTouch except a lot more computer than PMP.

Just go to any Technomart and look around. Ask any retailer for a catalog. Look on Danawa.

I-Station seems to be the top seller here in Korea.

Cowons don't have the dictionaries but they have browsers.

I just bought the aforementioned T-43 and I'm happy. Needless to say that the 'U' and Netforce models are the only ones the support Navi at the moment. Those are about 100,000 more expensive.

Question: Do I-stations allow you to shuffle your music? I haven't seen that feature.

Do you have the Q-topia operating system?

You can randomize whatever audio tracks you have loaded but I don't think you can make it play tracks from your library without loading them first. Due to nature of the file and folder system it uses.

I had an I-Station v43 for over a year and enjoyed it tremendously. However on my last trip back home the lcd screen got broken. Warranty expired and the replacement cost for a new screen far exceed my need for this little marvelous piece of technology.

I still have everything: battery, remote control, leather case, earphones with the little control on it...

If anyone wants/needs any of these, PM me, I'd be glad to give them away to a good home given you pay the shipping costs.

Take a look at Nokia N810. It has internal GPS too, even though it is not as good as "real" GPS receiver. I might get one of those from the US (USD420)... where it is way cheaper than in Finland (EUR450) where I come from.
