What do you have planned for vacation this summer? I've got about three weeks in August, and I'm looking for ideas.

So what are your plans? Where are you going, what are you doing? Itenirary? (sp?)

Not trying to be mean, but this question should be answered by YOU. Have you traveled all over the Earth? If not, pick a place that sounds good.

Just 'cause I like mountain climbing doesn't mean it'll be good for you.

One of my best vacations was touring Thailand, I recommend it, but the summer time will be hot hot hot. Try New Zealand in the summer time, which will be their winter. I've also wanted to go to Peru and Bolivia for a while.

I'm taking my wife and my soon to be 2 yr old daughter to Vancouver for a week at the end of July. We'll go up Grouse Mtn, see Stanley Park, English Bay and Granville Island. Take the ferry to Victoria and or Gibsons. I am very fortunate to have a brother in Langley, to stay with and who has been more than willing to put us up (not put up with us, well, a little...) over the past few years. Very Happy

Would love to stay longer, but my wife only receives one week of vacation with her job. She can't get any more time off. I also have to to spend some time there scouting for a place for us to live. We hope to live near Langley or Abbotsford in the next couple of years.

Living in Korea can drive me nuts at times and for some of you all the time! (the students, some lazy/idiotic co-workers, the propaganda trucks, the bible thumpers knockin at the door, the noise, the pollution, the traffic and congestion..etc...). I always give this piece of advice to newbies; take full advantage of any vacation time you are given, reserve a ticket at least 5-6 months in advance, and get the hell off the Korean peninsula! You'll be thanking yourself that you did...

Not too bad in summer. Cooler than it is in April anyway. Go up to the North East and experience real Thailand. Hire a truck or Fortuner and chill out in Loei province on the Maekhong.

Hectic one for me. Taking my wife and newborn son back to Australia for two weeks then off to see her family in Indonesia for another two and a bit. Will jump over to Bali and Singapore in that time to hook up with mates.

My schedule is different - I get five weeks in June/July.

I going around the world again, this time in easterly direction, so I've scheduled some brief stops near my main sites to adjust to time differences and see some new places. Start off with a couple days in Chicago, visiting friends, then down to western KY for five days to see my sister and take care of family and financial business. Next, five days in Stockholm, where my best friend from high school is this year on sabbatical leave working on a book. Then down to Turkey for 2+ weeks, in which I'll be in Istanbul, Ankara, Eskisehir, Izmir, and Mugla. Most of the time will be in Mugla, looking for a house to buy. Then on to Shanghai for three days to visit a friend working there before returning to Seoul with four days of vacation left to get adjusted to here again.

I've never been to Stockholm or Shanghai before, so those will be interesting. All the other places, lots of friends to see. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm doing a 10 day tour of South Western Korea. Sounds boring maybe, but I want to see the tea fields, some islands while not spending too much money on the peninsula.

I don't know why that made me laugh, maybe the term "South Western Korea" sounds funny.

After eating Gimbab for a year, I look foward to only one thing: an all you can eat Sushi buffet in Osaka. Five decadent days of delicious sushi. Mmmmmm.

I was thinking about doing a temple tour of South Korea. I'm not sure which are the best temples though.

No, I wouldn't mind. Unfortunately, even there, I'm bound to run into asses like yourself.

I'm going back to Ohio where, for the first time in my life, I will be grateful my mom is a teacher and that she will be home to spoil me.
