I'm sure you have some great tips for using Windows. Here are mine :

- Use control X,C and V to cut, copy and paste, you can also use your mouse to select a bunch of text and right click to do the same thing.

- Right click on the column bars to sort by categories like media type, author, date created etc etc.

- Want to shut down faster? Create a batch file to clear your history/temp folders.

- Want to start faster? Use "MSCONFIG" in run to disable the GUI bootscreen, start only MS system files etc etc.

Does your windows crash when you try to view thumbnails of videos? Windows is trying to retrieve information about each video such as size and codecs used, that is not the problem, the problem may be that some videos are corrupted causing Windows to crash. If you are using UTORRENT then go to OPTIONS, PREFERENCES, DOWNLOAD and look for the option OTHER SETTINGS. toggle ON "Append .!ut to incomplete files". Do the same thing to other programs that downloads incomplete video/audio files.
