Has anyone on this board tried or even better currently owns a surround sound headset? I'm thinking about getting one, but the selection is quite limited in Korea. Danawa has few listed and the asking price is around 80 - 100 K.
I'd use them for late night DVDs and some FPS gaming. For listening music I have Grado SR80. |

Are you talking about the wireless headsets? Used to own a pair of Sony wireless and they were very convenient. Their sound quality is not bad but can never match that of wired headphones. |

Wireless or not, it really doesn't matter to me. I just want to enjoy surround sound without disturbing neighbors. And you are right, wireless headphones aren't as good as wired ones. Back at home I have Philips wireless headset and it sucks big time! Haven't used that set in years! Grado, on the other hand...
Well, since there are no other replies, maybe I should go to Yongsan and see what they have. |

I have a set of Speedlink 5.1 headphones. The company wouldn't deliver to Korea, so I had to get them shipped to NZ, then get them re-sent to me here.
They're great. I have the non-USB kind which are a little bit less convenient to set up, but provide the best sound quality. Speedlink seems to have the best product reviews, but watch out if you have a Wifi setup because they're not shielded, and are prone to a little interference. |
