I want to go there, but I believe that even if you go in the summer, you are going to have to drag your big overcoat to Hongdae. You better put it in a shopping bag or something, or Koreans will think you are a crazy foreigner for carrying around a big coat in the summer. Laughing That site doesn't give the location well either. What is 1000 meters from exit 6??? Where? Next to what?

Parkas are provided. Writing down the address in Korean and hopping in a taxi is the best bet.

Pretty easy to find, right around the corner from the kids' playground.

Just in front of the university main gate. Walk along the smaller road which goes past the park and then turn left, not just right after the part, but one block further, then you can see a blue Icebar-sign.

What are some landmarks? These directions are still a bit confusing. There are 2 small roads by the park. One has Smoothie King and some other businesses, and one is close to Club Cargo. Isn't the main uni gate on down past US66 bar? Confusing.

It's sort of "behind" the playground.

No, it's right across the street from the children's playground.

It's the street by the park with the Smoothie King. Walk down that and turn left right after the park. You should see that Thai restaurant, Khao San. Walk down that street past Ddeoksamshidae (on the left) and look on the right side after that. The sign is small but blue. I think it's in the basement under some ultra-preppy hair salon or something.

That's not really helpful. EVERYTHING in Hongdae is right around the corner from the kids' playground!

As a 4-year Hongdae resident I can safely say this is not true. In fact, the areas I prefer are at least a 10 minute walk from the playground.

Anyway, the playground is small, so it wouldn't take more than 5 minutes to walk around it a couple times & find the ice bar. I mean, I'd come over and be a tour guide, but I have to wash my cactus.
