Calvin Johnson is going to be an all-pro receiver, but Matt Millen just had to grab another WR? What is his PROBLEM?

Maybe Cleveland could have done better with the third pick in the draft. Teams can trade down and get good linemen.

I can't really fault the Thomas pick too much if they want to stick with Frye. there is a lot of value in a great LT.

Ted Ginn to Miami is a terrible terrible pick. they need a QB and they pass on Quinn. retarded.

Really thought SF should have went with Carriker though but Willis looks like a good player.

Despite his past mistakes, Millen did the right thing..

I'm THRILLED to have Calvin Johnson going to Detroit...

Regardless of what they do next (they'll draft a QB within the next 2 rounds methinks) this is a successful draft for Detroit already...

What's with Quinn falling to 22nd?!?!

Ginn going to the 'fins was a suprise, he was late first round at best and miami needed a qb badly. as with Quinn going so late. Cleveland got both of its major needs in OL and QB which is good.

Detroit had to take Johnson he was the best athlete in the draft.

My teams Dallas and Cincy got what they needed so I'm happy

What do a coroner and the Detroit Lions at the NFL draft have in common?

Both specialize in picking up stiffs.

Quinn is overrated in my opinion.

Never really could control a game, so i think he'll end up as a backup in he NFL. sort of like a Tim Couch/Patrick ramsey/David Carr, could even be out of the league.

This draft is pretty boring.

actually, i love the nfl draft, but being in Korea and following it is boring.

Cleveland Browns used their two first rounders to get a huge offensive tackle and a big quarterback.

Expect their offense to improve.

I agree. Who annointed him as a "franchise savior"?

Detroit has many other needs- drafting a WR that high, and not using the WR as trade bait, seems to me like a wasted opportunity. Building an O line would do more for the O than just drafting another WR. He'll make some great plays, but he'll have great stats as the team continues to lose.

The Cardinals are FINALLY trying to build an O line. They've had nothing since the 70's (Dierdorf and Dobler).

One thing about SF- some very smart people are back in charge. The 49er's have been getting better for a couple years. That was a GREAT pick- Willis. He's the real deal. They're almost back to being the best team in that division.

I want to see if anyone is smart enough to take Jarrett Hicks (WR) from TTU. He's the best WR to come out of the state of Texas in many years. Let's see who did their homework.

Internal politics at work, there. Wade can't do ANYTHING to even possibly get TO upset- even if it would help the team. If he'd drafted a WR, TO would throw a tantrum. Rolling Eyes
Jerry backs TO, no matter what, even with a coach like Parcells. Wade? He doesn't have a prayer.

Can't believe Pittsburgh picked a tight end in the third round. They picked Heath Miller in the 1st round in 2005. They need a decent offensive lineman, as Alan Faneca will probably be gone next season, and they also have needs at running back and secondary. Oh well, they're always good at finding diamonds in the rough, so today should be interesting.

Yes. The later rounds are when the smarter franchises shine.
Ever wonder why it's usually the same teams drafting with the first picks? I don't. Idiots in the front office.

Now, now... we all know that's just an altered Maple Leaf joke.. You can do better than that...

And Calvin Johnson is no stiff...

I thought the Lions had one of the better drafts so far...

Teams like Miami and Cincy made some strange moves.. but what can you do...

How far will Troy Smith fall ? Very Happy

Quinn dropping to 22? Wow. I also think he was overrated, but 22???

I like the 'skins pick. Their middle looks pretty good right now.
