Can I prove it subectively, easier but likely not. I can tell of feelings and the ideal of faith, but you have to want to believe and then work on it.

What I find most ironic about this subject, is how miltant the non beleivers are. They all seem to have lost an earlier simpler faith and revel in trying to destroy it in others. The world is full of you kind of losers.

Infidel! Infidel! Kill them!

Another religious 'victim'. The mean non-believers said my god wasn't real. Ohh, poor you. Grow some nuts Rolling Eyes

I thought the last of the renegade God-boys were gone when blynch got laughed off his own post.

Come back when your spine starts holding you up.

Losers? That's rich.
So what do you make of the fact there is no material evidence of the 'exodus', and nothing was ever written by the egyptians about the disaster of losing 20,000 chariots.

You obviously don't know me. I am one of the most "in your face" confrontational people you would meet. My "take" on your handle is just a small sample.

What a juvenile loser you are. You have all the intelligence and wit of a sexually demented chihuahua humping an old ladies leg. Neither my faith nor my comfort zone are dependant on your approval or even existance.

I get the distinct message that you mommy made you go to church and you are still all bent up about it.

Well, the believers show their own bitterness and anger. It's a bit more ironic coming from people who preach a religion of love and peace like Christianity. And it's good to see your faith has filled you with such love and peace. I can be a better person like you if I submit to Christ Jesus? Sign me up!

I'm not out to destroy your faith. Believe as you see fit. If you want to argue on a message board your faith is based on testable claims, then I'm happy to destroy that belief. If you want to claim the laws of my nation should be based on the morality contained in your holy book, I'll also argue against that position. You notice, not many people go out of their way to attack Mennonites and the Amish. They have some rather fundamentalist beliefs. But the key is, they don't try and make their beliefs the beliefs of the whole nation. They're not out preaching using a remote control is sinful and the civilian legal code should ban them.

No, and we really don't care. Really.

In other words, one of the dumbest.

Let's keep it simple shall we? You can't prove it, guaranteed. Better men have tried and failed.

The jill in the hat:

If my faith depended on being able to justify it to you or others it would be useless to me.

someone else:

What do I have to say about the Egytians failure to comment on Exodus?

About as much as I have to say about the low quality of Egyptian commentary in the present time. About at useless and believable as "I'll respect you in the morning".

That's fine and dandy, but what the hell are you telling us for?

(Were you somehow under the impression that we cared??)

So beautiful and diverse equals God? Both of these are subjective measures not really evidence in any sense. It is also a harsh cold universe full of much of the same stuff.

Yes Wendy, all you have to do is believe.

It's statements like that that make me want to fly planes into buildings or tell my students they're all going to hell. What do you revel in? Losing an invisible friend has not made me a loser, please explain. Or is everyone not like you a loser?

Would those be the same Egyptians that occupied Israel and most of the middle east at that time and had border guards placed through out that area? Maybe that's why it took them 40years to get there, they used stealth. Wink

On the contrarian, mommy was a catholic and daddy was an athiest, I wandered both sides of the fence before deciding that daddy was right.

A large part that decision was realising that religious people make bizzare and nonsensical rationalisations; like you, seeing a caring god in the beautiful and unique universe. Beautiful yes, caring no, god? Definitely not.

You are welcome to your faith, defending it doesn't make you loser. Attacking those who question you faith makes you a loser.

Your 'take' on my handle was about as 'in your face' as a custard pie.

Onward Christian soldier.

What I find ironic is

1) A complaint about "militancy" followed by calling people "losers"
2) Claims of humility followed by accusations of spiritual inferiority
3) Claims of humility followed by imposition of personal values on others
4) Claims of pure faith followed by attempts at logical and scientific argument
5) Claims of deep personal belief expressed in plagiarized words

I see you know as much about egyptian history as you do about your own religion.
Do you believe you are going to heaven?
