i need some help from any Korean speakers on this board. i just flew in from a vacation in beijing. i was sitting next to a nice college age kid from Seoul who is studying at Yale. he said he was doing an exchange at Seoul National University for the term. Anyway, when i got on the plane, he asked me if i had been reading the papers in Korea and i said no. i asked why, but he said it was better not to talk about it. i thought it was wierd but no big deal.

so when i got off the plane, i noticed that he waited to be last. there was a media circus and about 30 armed policemen waiting to escort him through the airport and into a car. and when i say circus, i mean freakin nuts...and i worked as a news cameraman back home. i've seen hIM on the news three times already this evening but they are blurring out his face. HELP! WHO IS HE AND WHAT DID HE DO?

I have doubts about the authenticity of the original poster, but if you are serious, that is a huge coincidence. The guy's dad is a CE0/gangster and had his henchmen beat the shit out of the people that beat the shit out of him.

please don't have any doubts about me because i really don't care that much. but i was really curious. you don't see something like that everyday. i talked to him for a while, he was in beijing on a 5 day trip with other history majors at Seoul University. after i saw the all the cameras and policemen, i saw the girl that was next to him down at baggage claim. i said there must have been something that they didn't tell me. she told me to check the papers and that it was complicated to explain.

he was a nice kid. he spilled his pudding all over himself on the plane. he said he went to yale and his brother had already graduated from harvard. i guess that explains the rich thing. believe me if you want, but it was an experience.
