Is there a freeware application out there that will convert video to mp3? I have found several that are limited trial versions, but I want a truly free one.
Thanks. |

if you can't find what you want. You could run the video while recording the audio with audacity and then export as MP3. The only downside is that if you do anything else with your computer that generates sound during that time those sounds will also be recorded. yes, that means error beeps or software notification sounds. |

I think a program called virtualdub will work. Check it out. Oh, and for the record, I think what you are doing is called "stripping" the audio out of the video, rather than converting video to audio. Might help you in your search. |
