What are some of the more interesting day trips out of Seoul?

There's quite a bit of info. on this topic if you browse through the forum. One thing I can recommend is Anmyondo in Chungcheongnam-do. Just went there on Sunday. Quite nice. It's probably about 3hrs from Seoul.

DMZ, Danyang (caves, boat ride on a lake)
Look for places with festivals going on there's a Mime festival in Chuncheon at the end of the month

There is the ceramics bieanle going on in icheon until the end of the month. website is www.wocef.com

icheon is also supposed to have a decent hot springs

Danyang and Amyondo look interesting. I'll check those places next time.
I've been to Icheon and the Miranda Hot Spring before.

Looks like my friend and I are going to Cheonan to check out the independence museum tomorrow and then hang out at one of the hot springs there.
