I am now researching on collaborative English teaching with native speakers. In Japan, it is quite normal to have an assistant language teacher in each language class. I would like to compare this program in Japan to some other contries such as Hong Kong. Does anyone have an experience of teaching as NET in Hong Kong? If you do, please let me know. I woud like to figure out what is beneficial or what is problematic factor and what team-teaching should be like. |

It seems obvious, but have you tried posting on the Hong Kong forum? |

Krean+native speaker or 2 native speakers. Korean with native is so boring because you know the Krean teacher is in control. You are basically the taperecorder/English robot. 2 native speakers is fun because you can dialogue together. |

I took part in interviews for a research paper by Dr David Carless, a professor from the University of Hongkong, comparing approaches to team-teaching in Japan, Korea, & Hongkong (specifically JET, EPIK, & NET). You might find his article helpful in your research.
PM me with contact details & I'd be happy to forward it to you. |

Sorry Mosley, I just did a search for it on-line & it only seems to be available through subscription journal sites. I dont think David would mind if I passed it along to a bona fide researcher (my offer to the OP stands) but its not mine to disseminate more widely. |
