I am wondering which download programs are the best right now.

I plan to download things like survivor, Prison Break, and other TV shows. Some wrestling videos and the occasional movie.

I checked out bit torrent. It looks good but it's expensive, like $2 a video.

I had bad luck with Kazaa before, with spyware and viruses.

Hey there Ilsan man,
I don't know what your talking about with bittorent, 2$ a video? I use that programme all the time and have not paid a cent. I did donate 80$ though, but that was because I was being nice.

download bittorent here http://download.bittorrent.com/dl/BitTorrent-5.0.7.exe

once installed gotto one of many tracker sites, my favourite is www.isohunt.com
Simple as that! Wink

utorrent is better as it has more features that are easy to use for tweaking downloads and it's free! You need to clarify whether you are looking for a download program (a program used for downloading torrents)or a torrent site (a site where you can search for torrents and then download them if you like, most are free and if you have to pay ...don't bother). Razz

is utorrent vista compliant yet? I am right sick of azereus. Used utorrent on my old xp rig and loved it. When I got this Vista lappy, had to move to azureus, as utorrent wasn't vista compliant at that time...

You're a real card, Wrench. I would have skipped Vista if Dell (bought a lappy, not a desktop, otherwise I would have built my own rig again)would have given me the option, but I got shafted with it. Then, I got shafted when a bunch of my older old software that didn't run properly on this POS OS. I guess I should have said 'compatible' as opposed to 'compliant'. Anyways, thanks for the heads-up.

Hey, np. Will be uninstalling azereus today, definitely. Which version of utorrent are you using? The Beta or the latest Stable?

both worked just fine.. I used the stable.. I try not to use Beta any more.

I used the web interface it was kinda cool that was the last beta I used.

I made my system dual boot and to be honest with Vista seems SO much faster compared to my xp64 although no where nearly as stable.
