The German is here on...what's the marriage visa? An F2? So yes, he was legal.

The Kenyan dude was born in Kenya but had Korean parents. In fact he left because they didn't take his name off of the family registries and the military was trying to conscript him. So yep, he checked out, too.

It was only the Polish student that was illegal.

Sounds like the start of a bad joke, right?

A Pole, a German, a Kenyan of Korean descent, and an American all walk into a hogwon...

Wow... is this story really true? I always have a hard time believing stories like this one. Then again, this is the Land of the Morning Chaos, and I guess it's certainly possible...

At least the beatch did not try to invade his apartment with three other guys and a bunch of butcher knives screaming that they were there to kill him, steal his money and plane ticket home, and, in the process, show foreigners that they should never defy a Korean. This happened to me in Yonggongdong near Mapo Station in early May, 2002 in front of three other foreign teachers (one is a well known guy on television) and the U.S. Embassy had to send the police to the apartment to arrest the crooks.
