|
|
Saw this on Yahoo news. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/070503/odds/odd_worstcanadian_odd_dc Some magazine is taking votes for worst Canadian.
Off the top of your head, who would you choose?
Tough choice, but right now I'd go with Celine Dion. In my eyes, she's a "Ho" for some years ago at a Quebec awards show expressing her offense at getting an award titled Best Canadian Performer or something like that. She said, "No. I'm Quebecois." or something like that.
She's a ho because she switched her singing from French to English just to make more money. She's a sell-out. |

She's ugly as hell, too. Yeah, I hate her. Her music is crap and she looks like a dog. |

Adrian Arcand was a vile, anti-Semitic French-Canadian who led a fascistic party in the '30s-'40s. A good candidate.
How about Paul Bernardo? Karla Homolka? |

Canada has the world's largest supplies of Uranium. One nuclear fuel pellet (of Uranium) about two centimetres long produces the same amount of electricity as one and a half tonnes of coal and no Co2.

Coal-fired electricity plants are (comparatively) cheap to build, but the fuel is expensive. Nuclear power plants are the opposite: the fuel is (relatively) cheap, but the cost of building the plants is through the roof.
It's like having a car that costs a million dollars, that runs on water. Makes no sense.
You might see one or two new nuclear power stations in the next 20 years, but essentially it's an obsolete, sunset industry...conceived in the 1950s when annual load forecasts were expected to increase 10% a year. |

Actually Australia holds the largest uranium reserves in the world, Canada produces the most. Australia just lifted its "3 mine rule" last week. |
