I have several friends arguing about where and when this is taking place. Some say tonight, some say tomorrow. Some say Hangang Park, some say World Cup Park.
The Hi Seoul website is useless.
Anyone have a definitive answer on this? |

UPDATE
Attended last night, and it was great.
Some other suggestions for the planners, though.
It was a FARKING NIGHTMARE getting there. In typical Korean fashion, one of the largest events of the year is planned, and not a single taxi knew where the park was, there were no signs posted, resulting in hundreds of people were wandering around the stadium asking each other where the event was.
If you're going to throw the kind of event that usually draws people who enjoy these kinds of things in an altered state, make sure you provide enough booze. Thankfully, I had the foresight to bring a vodka/cranberry kit with me, because they ran out of alcohol several times throughout the night.
Towards the end of the night, there were thousands of people unable to leave because the subway wasn't open yet, and there were no taxis to be found anywhere near the park. Luckily, a friend drove me a few kilometers from the stadium where I was able to snag a cab.
All that aside, once we actually found the place, the actual event was amazing. Riverside, great stage/sound/lights, good DJs, etc. One of the best times I've ever had in Seoul. I just wish the planners could have had the foresight to provide a shuttle service or at least contact taxi companies, who would have gladly provided tons of drivers.
If you can get there, you'll have a blast. Enjoy, folks. |
