Hey, Bourbon Street - from what I've diligently read and researched, the ultimate goal, of course, is to end up speaking with a reputable school, and ask the proper (read: correct, detailed, pointed) questions to the director, admin lead, and more than one teacher (3 - 5). We all know that the recruiter is out to earn a living, blah blah. BUT, there is a difference between "making a living" and "making a quick buck". With that said, I'd say that I'd recommend (or from what I've read):
--Work n Play
--KorVia
--Angel Recruiting
--Park English
--ESL Planet (Rowan Hall)
You might also try Edu Orange, Duff Recruiting, and Adventure Recruiting.
I'd avoid:
--Advanced Recruiting
--Jun Education |

You're pal Johnny V from the big easy appreciates this info. I know you're a research fanatic and that your findings will be quite sound. Later. |

I would like to strongly recommend ESL-Planet. Rowan is a great guy and helped me through a multitude of problems. He helped me even when it was clear that he would not benefit(i.e. get paid). He was truthful throughout the entire process. I can't say enough good things about him. |

i would strongly recommend micheal duffy..
he is extremely honest in all dealings and knows Korean immigration law inside and out.
He will also help you out if there are any problems....within reason.
I have known several people he has placed and everybody bar one(who was a nutcase) have been happy with his service. |

I give my vote to Duffy as well. I haven't met him, knew of him through my cousin. He helped me out a great deal just for the sake of helping someone out. |

Rowan helped me out when I lost my job from my last job. He offered to find me a new job, but I managed on my own. If I did go with another recruiter I'd probably go with him again. |

Rowan and his team at ESL planet is excellent. They stay in contact with you after they placed you at a school to make sure everything goes well. |

Stay away from Gone2Korea.
He offered me a gig, I googled the school and it's blacklisted (severely). He told me not to worry, that there are '500 branches' of the school in Korea. Hehe...
So I set up a telephone interview to humour the recruiter and nobody called.
Also said the position offered a 'full pension plan'. Lol?
Rowan is a very cool guy and he's helped me on the phone look over contracts and strategize about other things, just for the sake of helping me.
I find that Kims-Korea and OKRecruiting have the most jobs available at any given time. |
