Someone from another message board recommended this travel agent but because I live in Busan I haven't met anyone who has used them. I would like to get some info about the company before I wire half a million won into their bank account. Thanks a bunch for any info..

Brent

I haven't actually booked through them, but had along drawn out back and forth about tickets before we had to cancel due to unforseen circumstances. He's really nice. I've read good reviews by someone who did use him though. I think it was someone on pusanweb.com forums.

Yeah, I think that's the same guy that recommended SOHO to me. However, I'd like to hear from more than one person before I send my passport off to him and wire 500,000 won into his account.

Anyone esle?

I have used Soho Travel on several occasions for flights to the US, Malaysia and Taiwan. He speaks English, service is excellent. He even delivered my ticket to the airport ticket counter because I wasn't able to make it to his office to get the ticket before my flight departure.

Yes, soho travel is great! I bought a bunch of tickets through Jongho (the owner) and he always gave me the cheapest fares, was always prompt in responding to my emails, and always gave me various suggestions on how I could make my flights cheaper. He really is a reliable travel agent. Transferring money to his account has never been a problem...do it! I promise you he's the best!

I have been using Soho Travel Agency for the past year. They (Soho Travel) are very prompt in obtaining the cheapest tickets available. In addition, they speak English fluently. I never had a problem with sending my Passport to them. I have told my friends about their great service and prices.

After a number of frustrating experiences with other agents, I switched to Soho Travel. The difference was stark. No more unkempt promises, no endless waiting lists, no overcharging. Soho is fast and efficient, its simply the best.

Regards,

Walter

I just booked tickets with Soho Travel, and I have nothing but praise. I was waiting for a refund from Zenith Travel (I'll post about them in a minute. What a nightmare!) and he was very patient until I could pay him. He always wrote back within a day, usually within an hour or two. This guy should put the other travel agents out of business!

Got quoted 1.1 million from Seoul through Minneapolis to my hometown for June using Marco Polo travel in the KEB building of Yongsan.

Don't recall their phone number or website.

Can anyone tell me what's the cheapest way to get to London? I have Sports Tickets for the summer and I don't have a place to stay there so I'll be traveling a lot.

surprisingly, ive got quite the different take on Soho travel than the rest of you, and felt the need to share my experience.

i have contacted them on my past four vacations and found they were slow to respond, often confused me with other clients (yes, they sent me sensitive info about others in error). recently, i had a choice of flights between shoestring travel (whom i`d always used in the past) and soho. i decided to go with soho this go round, as they were offering a better flight time and about 150 000 w cheaper (to a close asian destination). after liking what i saw, i had to email jongo several times in one week just to get his bank account number from him. in the past, i`d had no problems with shoestring ... they were eager and responded within hours of my inquiries. i eventually had to email again to get that day`s gas prices, so i could wire the precise amount ... it took jongho three days to get back to me ... not such a smooth operator if you ask me. eventually, after wiring him the money for my companion and i, i asked him to confirm that he received the funds, which he never did respond to. a few days later, he sent an eticket via email, in which both mine and my friend`s names were spelled incorrectly (despite providing him with our full names as on passport, as well as our email adresses contained our names). i emailed him back immediately asking that he look into changing it immediately, so we don`t lose our seats on the flight. after five days of emailing and calling, i finally got through to him. he did change our names, but i don`t think 150 000 w is worth having to go through what we did. jongho seemed like a nice guy, but kept giving both my friend and i different excuses, such as h i`m sorry, my computer`s been broken.`or `m sorry, i`ve had too many emails to respond to. our flight takes off over the lunar new year holiday (or is supposed to ... i`ll keep you posted as whether we actually have tickets!) if i were you, i`d go with shoestring travel, as i`ve never had any problems with them and experienced beyond excellent service. that`s my take on soho. good luck!
