I have a hangunder at the moment. I've drunken (drinken, to be drinken) enough beer/soju to know I will have a hangover in the morning.

I've read some of the other threads but they all recommend a 'morning after' cure...but it's still the night for me...

should I drink my gatorade, tomato juice before I go to bed or after?

Dramatic update: I've just Googled a bit of information but I still can't find my answer.

What is a hangover? Is it the headache? Is it the nausea? Is it the nagging undercurrent of unease?

I want to get rid of all those symptoms.

Cool

I used to have those sachets of powder that people took with them to countries with poor water. Its like minerals and salts and stuff. If you mix one of those with a litre of water and drink it before you go to bed you won't feel too bad in the morning. I wish i still had them.

You can always try the hair of the dog also. If you time it right..say 3 pints over 4 hours or so you can cheat the bastard.

Where do I get these sachets?

I once had a charity collector tell me about these sachets. Diarrhea kills a lot of people due to dehydration and he was collecting to buy as many sachets as he could send to save people. He said Diarrhea was the number one killer in Africa.

Yea thats the one. I don't know where to get them. My ma gave me them before I came to Korea as she thought korea is a third world country. She also gave me a big bottle of knock water because she thought the place would be full of heathens:)

Drink as much water as you can. Hangovers are from dehydration. Ergo, you need to hydrate. I think you want to avoid the tomato juice. Lots of sodium, which I think is bad for hydration. So stick with the water.

I used to date a guy who swore by eating a banana before going to bed after drinking a lot. Maybe potassium is good for hangovers? Or maybe I was just dating a nutcase?

He may have been right. I woke up in the middle of the night with a cramp in my leg last week and I hadn't been doing any leg exercise during the day so I reckon the alcohol stole all of the water from my leg. Eating a bannana usually helps with that sort of thing. How many n's in bannana? Anyway, your kittentits thing at the bottom of your post should include a link if it's on the internet. Is that you in your avatar? You look cute. Just saying, not stalking you or anything...

Yet!!!

Ha ha!

He's right. If you are going to bed drunk, slurp down at least one tall glass of water before you climb in the sack. Better yet, ask for a glass of icewater while you're still in the bar - neng su, is what the barkeeps understand, and they will also know why.

I always have a cup of water next to my soju glass, but I often forget to ask for water while drinking beer and cocktails at western bars ... those are the times I wake up hungover ...

Instead of the packs of minerals, drink some Pocari Sweat. Basically it's got the same stuff in it.

Or make your own. A generic formula is 1 liter of water with 6 level teaspoons of sugar and 1 level teaspoon of salt.

I've found it's a bit pointless to try and hydrate the morning after, when the hangover's in full effect.

I always have a few glasses of water, and an aspirin just before going to sleep, and I've been hangover free ever since.

In the days before that it was a greasy Full English for breakfast and coffee.

http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100000800.html = sachets you were thinking of.

JMO - judging by your podge and rodge avatar, im guessing you're irish. then diorlyte are the sachets. they come in different flavors and are about 50cent (irish) each.
