TIME asked who you thought should be on the list of the 100 most influential people of the year. Over 200 candidates were given a rating of 1 to 100. And your #1 choice? Let it Rain! The Korean R&B phenom had almost half a million votes, over 100,000 more than runner-up Stephen Colbert. At #16, blogger Perez Hilton did better than his namesake Paris the socialite finished last with a limp score of 19. |

Hahaha... That's pretty effed up. I have no problem with it at all; actually, I think it's pretty funny how a major magazine like time got internetted like that. Kind of like when that "Vote for Rory" campaign almost got the lunchpailer Rory Fitzpatrick into the NHL All-Star game. |

...all from Korean netizens with no life but to vote 500 times a night. Exactly WHAT has Rain done that is in any way influential? Other than fail horribly in trying to rip off Usher. |

Ouch. I hope Steven Colbert totally ignores him.
This won't make him person of the year, will it? |

I hope Colbert makes fun of him and the fact that nobody in the US knows who he is. |

Most people in the world probably don't know who 9 of the top 10 are anyways. |

Beyond the obvious netizenry aspect of this sordid tale, we have to remind ourselves what a shyte-producing gazette for the status quo Time is. About Stephen Colbert:
Quote: |
CON: His performance at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association dinner stirred controversy, raising concerns over the biased nature of his satire. |
You have got to be kidding. That performance was a con? A con? |

It has little to do with actual influence and as Dr. Frankenstein said, it has more to do with Netizen manipulation and mean-spirited mudslinging and some relatively lame finagling of a few sorry saps who have too much time on their hands. The Party Pooper blog has been observing these behavior patterns for some time now in this article. |

Colbert will then find himself added to the list of American comedians Koreans HATE. (I guess Jay Leno is the sole person on that list so far.) And Comedy Central better be prepared to have their servers crashed... |

I don't think a lot of Koreans would dig Margaret Cho. |

Let's not forget the Korean netizens' performance after the last World Cup. We have seen their tenacity! Their brazen! Their blind ambition!!
