when I had my wi-fi network set up I had it password protected, now my wife wants to use her notebook computer and I for the life of me cant figure our my password or key (whatever its called)
how do I find it or reset it? I have a netlink di 524 |

On the back of the modem there should be a reset button (sometimes you need a pin or a small screwdriver) hold that down for about 30 secs and it should reset back to default. (normally no password or admin as password). this will wipe everything so if you have opened any ports or anything you will have to open them again
if that does not work try emailing tech support at netlink, cause i have no idea  |

default username should be admin or Admin
password Admin or admin |

I think he means the WEP key. Resetting the router will indeed reset the WEP key but then none of your computers will work or you'll be running an unsecured wireless network.
try pointing your browser to 192.168.0.1 -- that's usually how to access the configuration utility for your router. The key should be in there somewhere. Check the manual for your router, if you don't have it, it's probably available online. |

but if he resets it he can just make a new password. you can't find the password just by accessing the router, otherwise anybody could find out the password. well thats how i understand it any way |

He will need to check in his network connections for the router IP.
Different brands have different IP's |
