When searching for step-down converters, I haven't really had the need to look for sine wave specs or specific wattage. If you are going to be ultra-picky like that, more power to you; them laptops are probably worth a chunk to just plug into just any stepdown converter. I have been here 4 years with lots of delicate electronics, and I have yet to have a problem.

To OP:

If you read my reply, I mentioned a few cities other than Seoul where you can buy those power converters.

You are 5 hours form Seoul? How about Busan, Daejon, Daegu, Pohang, Ulsan, and Changwon.

Seoul isn't the ONLY place in Korea to buy things like that. Busan is the 2nd largest city in Korea. I'm sure THEY have power converters. I'm sure every city I just listed has power converters.

I didn't say you had to take a 5 hour bus ride into Seoul. I was telling you to check out other big cities with stores like HomePlus, LGMart, and eMart.

Let me reiterate. There ARE OTHER CITIES IN KOREA.
