its only may, and i am already covered. i am susceptible, and did expect this, but no so early!
i have very fair skin, and all my bites have reacted pretty badly. can anyone recommend a course of action other than antihistamines or returning home!

I am exactly the same way. What helped me last year (made it tolerable)were two things. Go to your nearest pharmacy (look for a store with 약 in the window). Ask for Mulpass or Beomuli. They are a liquid anti-itch thing that temporarily relieves the itch long enough for you to stay sane. I don't know the spelling in Korean, but they are pronounced "Mul-pa-se" and "Bow-mul-ee". Hope this helps a bit. Also, if you are home and aren't going anywhere, a simple paste of water and baking soda helps.

Many stores in Korea sell Off! which helps when the bugs get really bad. I know it's not really good for your skin, but it does work. I also had my mom send a couple of tubes of the generic brand of Benadryl cream to me. Personally I haven't found anything in Korea that works as well.

What are you getting bit by? What time of day? If its at night sleep with a fan blowing on you.. Unless you fear fan death. It will help with the mogi... I also spray around my windows that seems to keep them from trying to get in..

I got bitten very badly last July. The worst part about it is people constantly commenting on it!

I too am surprised by how early they've appeared this year. It does feel a little more summery to me for early May as other countries have reported (England had warmest April on record, climate change of course).

Check anywhere around your house for standing water.

Drains included. If you can get some mosquito sand get it. Put it in any standing water

Mop the bathroom after use. Make sure the cistern lid is on.

look around the direct area around your house/apartment. Is there anything that might have standing water in it. Do you have lots of plants?

If all else fails get a few geckos in to help at night time.
