I went on Sat. It was pretty good. Poorly organized though, especially trying to find the place.

Plastic bottles only. I brought 2.5 liters of vodka in Coca-cola bottles and had no problems at all. Good times.

I agree with the "finding the place" part.

Apparently, taxi drivers hate going there because it's a beeyotch to get out of, and hardly anyone draws fares out of there.

NEXT YEAR:

Charge 5,000 at the gate and pay for a frickin' shuttle service that will run people back and forth to the stadium. I'd gladly pay for that kind of party. It was a blast....once I got there.

The pat down was next to nothing, although it seemed to change each time we went in. I carried a beer in my hand but it looked like earlier they had confiscated alcohol (there was a table full of half drank liquor that I took a bottle of soju from).

I went Saturday and it was fairly fun. Not something I would do all that often but things like that are rare here. Three stages, hard as hell to get to (and get back from), Koreans crapped out early, and no food nearby except kimbap. They ran out of liquor at about 3am. Worst problem was the dust tho. Horrible, horrible dust that I've coughed up for the last two days.

The upside was it was packed and people were very friendly. The DJ's were alright (not typically my kind of music) and the vibe was good. They let people bring in whatever and a few brought sleeping bags and slept till they started kicking people out, at about 7am. The DJ's were still going at that point.

Green: Really? I thought it was spaced nicely. I can't even count how many times I met one of my friends while walking along the road between the main stage and the other two.

Blue: I don't know where you were, but there were still tons of Koreans there after 6.

Brown: I was still getting beer at 5am.

Overall I thought it was a great event. Tons of fun and the weather was perfect. The food sucked though and the beer was warm (but cheap!) I'd say it was one of the best nights I've had in Seoul.

I think he meant the venue itself was hard to get to. You're right though, once inside it was easy to move around from place to place.

I would hope so. All faults aside, it was a great time. They need to invite more international DJs to headline, and organize the liquor and transportation better.

They timed it with the Hi Seoul! festival, which is unfortunate, becuase the weather was a bit chilly. Would be awesome in June or July.

Anyway, I hope they do it again!

I had a blast at the festival.
You could bring alcohol as long as it wasn't in glass bottles, that's prolly why they were taking it away. No worries with cans and plastic. Plenty on sale as well, only one shop ran out at one point, and it was just a 5 minute walk to the next stand. I was over the warm beer rather quickly...
The sound was great on all the stages, hardly any clashing.
The music was ok, depends on what you're into. I thought the Flash Brothers were tops Friday night, and Dr. Motte put on a good show Saturday.
It was hard to find though. At least a 30 minute walk from the World Cup stadium if you knew the way.
Did I meet anyone on this board there? I was running around with a SeoulSounds poster on my back promoting our party for this weekend. I'm 190cm, really curly hair...

Anyways, check the site for other news/upcoming events:
