I'm going to work there starting Wednesday. Don't know anything about the place, though it looks OK, lots of hagwons and mostly seems like you can find most of the same stuff as in Seoul. Where do the foreigners hang out? I also inquired about a cheap place to stay if anyone has ideas? |

There is a foreigner bar very close to Ilsan.
Yeogwans are plentiful, and not expensive.
You can buy most things available in Seoul, except the subway cards, english books, and cheap phone cards.
It isn't nearly as exciting as Seoul, but they have been building a lot of stuff so it is getting better.
Hagwons are numerous. |

I lived in Ilsan for 6 months, and have been going there every weekend for 6 months to visit a friend.
Any specific information, PM me; I'd be happy to give you the low-down depending on where you are.
