I am looking into an offer from a school in Bundang. I was wondering if anyone here knows that area of Seoul well. The specific area is:Jeongja
Any specific info would be much appreciated. |

| Bundang is really a suburb of Seoul, you will be about 30-45 minutes away from downtown Seoul. With that said, Jeongja is the wealthiest neighborhood in the wealthiest suburb in Korea. Many Korean movie stars and celebrities live in Jeongja. Jeongja is also quite frequently used for movie shoots. It has all the conveniences of home and is quite posh. |

Pro: your school probably teaches really rich kids which is mostly a good thing.
Con: you'll have to live in a place infested with yuppies. |

are you looking at SLI? I worked there/ lived in Jeongja dong for a year. People on here got it right, so far... its got the tancheon river bike path going through it, which is cool compared to other places in the Seoul area. Its rich. It's for families. There's an upscale shopping area or 2 nearby. It can be boring. No real great nightlife to speak of. Kinda a hassle to get to the middle of Seoul for real weekend fun; subways close early so you have to pay 2 man wons to get home or spend the night in a yeogwan.
If you dont care about nightlife and want to live in relatively clean area, its ok.. otherwise, its boring. |
