I've always used it to get my unfair share of stuff from Yongsan, but I've noticed that the selection there has steadily gotten worse and worse. Maybe they're doing a better job on cracking down on the black-marketers, or maybe the recent influx of American products has made it unneeded...

Well, I was thinking of the whole:

The black market by Shinchon Stn has the same stuff (and more) as the red door, and cheaper, too. Go to Shinchon Stn on the green line, walk straight out of Exit 8 for a block or two, and you'll see the stores on your left.

Example - a stick of deodorant from the Red Door, 7000 won. Same deodorant from Shinchon, 5000. If you go to the black markets in Songtan though, the same deodorant will be 4000. Happy hunting.

You could also try the black market at Namdaemun, if you can stomach the crowds.

I have never heard of the red door, but if you go near any millitary installation there will be a blackmarket right outside. Also, why worry about police? There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying anything from there. If you are a service member or korean civillian delivering to these places watch your backs. I know people who were taken to the big house. It's not worth it. Also if you're living in Incheon, there's one near Bupyeong market station. Just ask the taxi driver for the 수입마트 shweep mart.
